This whole season I've been awful with sticking with my posting schedule. I want to post these previews at noon but a lot of times I post either during the pregame show or in the middle of the game. Now that it's the playoffs and at most I'm predicting 6 games a week, I can get these posts out on time. I'll get better next season...hopefully. At least the XFL and USFL previews will be easier. They have less teams and I can talk out of my ass more than with NFL previews.
THE GAMES
Seattle Seahawks 10
San Francisco 49ers 21
I don't think he's eligible since it's a year to year award instead of a career resurgence one but I would consider Geno Smith for Comeback Player of the Year. Here's a guy who sucked on the Jets and for a long time was best known as the guy who got his jaw broken by a teammate because he wouldn't pay his debt to him. Then he goes to the Giants and ended Eli Manning's starting streak which drew the ire from New Yorkers. At least he can say he's the first Black starting QB for the G-Men and is the first QB to start for both East Rutherford teams.
After a stop with the Chargers, he comes to the Seahawks as Russell Wilson's backup. Russ leaves for Denver and Geno becomes the starter on what was presumed to be a rebuilding year. Instead, the Hawks goes on a hot streak and into playoff contention while the Broncos sucked so bad their coach got fired before completing his first season and Russ was mocked by a talking starfish. Then on the last week of the regular season, they won knocking out the Lions from playoff contention. Lucky for them, the Lions took the Packers down with them and Seattle gets the final playoff spot. They will probably lose here but this was definitely a successful season for them and kudos to Geno for learning from his mistakes to become a quality QB in the league.
Los Angeles Chargers 17
Jacksonville Jaguars 24
It was a long journey but they took advantage of the Titans' failures and won the AFC South. Both the Bolts and Jags have top ten offenses with bottom half defenses so it will come down to turnovers for DUUUVAL to pull off this win. That and shutting down LA's passing attack.
Miami Dolphins 13
Buffalo Bills 20
Even if Tua was starting I would have a hard time picking them over a inspired Bills squad. Now that I know that Skylar Thompson will likely start, they have no chance. With Damar Hamlin discharged from the hospital, Buffalo will be a dangerous team to face in the playoffs.
New York Giants 34
Minnesota Vikings 21
There's a team with a losing record in these playoffs but the team people have the least faith in is the 13-4 Vikings. Maybe it's because their defense and run game is garbage. The Giants defense isn't much to look at either (neither is their passing) but they look like a more complete team than the Vikes. Which is why I feel Brian Daboll should be Coach of the Year.
Baltimore Ravens 13
Cincinnati Bengals 34
Ground and Pound vs Air It Out, who ya got? Since Lamar Jackson still have knee issues, give me Cincy to win back to back. BTW, pay Lamar. Your team is trash without him Baltimore.
Dallas Cowboys 13
Tompa Bay Buccaneers 10
The Cowboys looked awful against the Commanders so you would think I would pick Tom Terrific to win the rematch. The Bucs are lucky the Saints and Falcons sucked ass and the Panthers waited too late to git good. I feel the Boys can harass Brady enough to eke out a win. Especially with how one dimensional the Bucs are while the Cowboys can pass AND run.
LAST WEEK 11-5
OVERALL 147-122-2
