After going on last week about how I'm "psyched, pumped, geeked and cranked" about finally getting to watch XFL games again on ABC...I didn't watch any of them. Whoops. I was busy so I ignored SEA-ORL harder than ESPN. I couldn't watch STL-VEG anyway since it aired on FX. I didn't think to tune in to SA-ARL on ABC and forgot HOU-DC was a Monday night game. Not that it mattered, it was on ESPN2. I still went 3-1 so it wasn't all bad. There are no games on regular TV this week so I guess I get started on the NFL End Of Season Review and Madden soundtrack update. Maybe I will even make an All No Photo Team for the NFL too! HA!
THE GAMES
Seattle Sea Dragons 24
Arlington Renegades 10
Another game, another Ben DiNucci endzone interception. He is so goddamn lucky his defense can bail him out because those mistakes could easily make the Sea Dragons 2-4. Speaking of defense, Arlington's defense must be mad as hell they kept the Brahmas passing attack under 60 yards and still lost. If they couldn't win then, how they gonna beat the top passing team?
San Antonio Brahmas 15
Vegas Vipers 17
After beating up the Guardians, the Vipers got beat up by the Battlehawks. They're another team that can sling it but it doesn't translate to wins. This might be a defensive game that Vegas edges out a win in. Too bad their tire tracked field doesn't give them home field advantage.
D.C. Defenders 31
Orlando Guardians 14
Another game, another 1 score loss. They play hard with recently exonerated QB Quinten Dormady but just can't get that extra TD for the win. D.C. on the other hand will put them out of their misery early like a undefeated team is supposed to do against a winless team. That's unless the ghost of Cardale Jones causes them to play so terrible Orlando blows them out.
St. Louis Battlehawks 25
Houston Roughnecks 28
I'm glad I stuck with the Battlehawks because they crushed the Vipers. This game will be different against a team that could use a rebound game of their own. Considering these teams are on opposite ends of the sacks stat with Houston getting the most while St. Louis has the fewest, they better have the ice bath ready for A. J. McCarron once he gets off the field.
LAST WEEK: 3-1
OVERALL: 17-7
