These are not my Stallions. The injury bug is wreaking havoc on their QBs
and their offense is suffering from it. They lost their season opener to DC,
which is understandable considering the Defenders'
season so
far. They struggled to score points with their defense bailing them out, but
it caught up with them as they lost
to the winless Showboats. The fucking SHOWBOATS!
The Stallions were playing like ponies where they couldn't protect
Case Cookus as he ran around for his life. The run game was
nonexistent, so Cookus was the leading rusher due to his scrambles. Then they suffered
a real backbreaker as Isiah Hennie returned a missed field goal for a
TD to end the 2nd half with Memphis up 17-3. The offense finally did
something as they came back to force overtime, but they couldn't score in
the shootout and are now tied with Michigan atop the USFL division at 3-2.
They're not dead but they're clearly not the top dogs.
THE GAMES
Arlington Renegades 24
St. Louis Battlehawks 27
I'm still reeling from the Stallions loss. I'll just say the Renegades
will
lose again. BTW, if you want to spend $130 on a game used jersey of a random
Dallas Renegades
player, the UFL is now
selling
stuff from OG XFL, XFL 2.0, The Rock's XFL and FOX's USFL. No OG USFL
merch though. I would be more interested if I could order custom uniforms
with these past teams.
Memphis Showboats 15
Houston Gamblers 30
These teams meet again now with wins under their belt. I said back in
week 3 these are teams with decent defenses and lackluster offenses. Since
then, the only positive Memphis had was upsetting Birmingham. While
Houston got themselves an easy win
over the rudderless Brahmas. This honestly is a tossup, so I'll go with
Houston to claw their way back to playoff contention.
DC Defenders 32
Michigan Panthers 29
Fresh off of
losing
to St. Louis, Panthers WR Samson Nacua
slapped
a fan. I'm assuming the Battlehawks fan was talking shit to him like how
his brother Puka is better than him and he wasn't having that. Samson tried to
make the fan flinch but when he didn't, he jumped up and slapped him. Well
Samson won't be playing in this game because he got
suspended. If the fan intends to sue, he should've taken a bump like the
WrestleMania fan
to help sell his case.
San Antonio Brahmas 6
Birmingham Stallions 9
If they lose to the sad sack Brahmas, I won't consider them a favorite to
4-peat anymore.
LAST WEEK: 1-3
OVERALL: 11-9
