Reddit finally got around to suggesting the USFL subreddit in my notifications after 10 weeks of previewing games. The first post I see is someone mentioning that the USFL is the first spring outdoor league to complete the regular season since the first XFL back in 2001. I was ready to call bullshit because I remember the UFL lasting 4 seasons but that was a fall league as well as the FXFL. There was also The Spring League but the players didn't get paid so that doesn't count. (Brian Woods gets around. The USFL is the 3rd league he had a hand in creating along with the TSL and Fall Experimental Football League). The various indoor football leagues, women's leagues and foreign leagues of course don't count either. It shouldn't be surprising they made it this far since FOX is bankrolling this league but it's still nice to point out.

I thought these playoff games would be played Sunday but it's actually tommorrow. OK then. t's fitting that I will turn on the team that I picked to make the championship game...again. The Generals just seem like a better team than the Stars so I will pick them to sweep this series.
New Orleans Breakers 13
Birmingham Stallions 17
It's the battle of teams that lost to the Gamblers back to back. Birmingham's lost to them was more shocking than the Breakers considering how inconsistent that squad is. The Stallions still had their second half struggles but at least they won last week just like the Panthers did. So they should add to their wins in Week 3 and Week 8 and sweep their opponent out of Canton.
