I only watched one game last week because I don't have cable and I forgot about the NBC game Sunday. Since I don't have the luxury of a prediction machine and the USFL can't be bothered to put stats on their webpage, I have to actually watch the games to make my uneducated guesses on who will win. There are 10,15 minute highlights of the past week's games but no full game videos available online. You can watch full games of the original USFL though. Like, how much easier would it be to stream games on YouTube as well as show them on TV
Arena football leagues have been doing this for years. The IFL finished Week 7, the NAL started their season last Saturday and whoever runs the CIF's account straight up forgot the season started already and did a batch upload of 15 games 4 days ago to catch up with the schedule. And that doesn't count all the other leagues from peewee football to women's football that broadcast games online. But when networks try to make their own streaming services a thing like Peacock, I'm forced to watch highlight clips to judge the talent of these teams.
THE GAMES
Tampa Bay Bandits 22
Houston Gamblers 17
This week's games are bookended by .500 teams with a undefeated game Saturday night and the winless bowl as the early Sunday game. Riveting. So the Bandits went from holding the Maulers to 3 points to only scoring 3 against the Breakers. Jordan Ta'amu didn't look comfortable in the pocket and was forced to run for it as the defense broke through. I still believe in this team and feel they can bounce back from that blowout loss.
Birmingham Stallions 24
New Orleans Breakers 21
This game was moved to primetime so FOX gets a Saturday doubleheader while no one cares about Sunday. The Stallions played a competitive game last week and I'll say they will be the only ones with a crowd for their games. Both defenses seem good but I give B'Ham the edge.
Pittsburgh Maulers 12
Michigan Panthers 15
The Pennsylvania Bowl by way of Alabama was the only one I watched last week. The Maulers vastly improved from their first game and stayed in it till the end. Out of spite, I will pick against them despite their receiver Bailey Gaither having a breakout game.
New Jersey Generals 13
Philadelphia Stars 27
The highlights made it look like the Generals was gashing the Panthers with the running game. However, when you look at the score, neither team really did much. So go Stars I guess.
LAST WEEK 3-1
OVERALL 4-4
