I believe football should be played outdoors with the elements and the addition of rain, high winds and snow can positively add to the unpredictability of this game. But after thunderstorms delayed Cowboys-Steelers for nearly 90 minutes, I see why teams wants roofs over their new stadiums. As for the teams with retractable roofs, they probably open it like, once or twice in a season. But there are some teams that still want the home field advantage and don't plan on adding a roof to their new stadium like the Bills. With that said, it's much easier to get concerts in your stadium with a roof since you don't have to worry about weather delays anymore.
THE GAMES
San Francisco 49ers 31
Seattle Seahawks 21
Holy shit I was hot garbage at picking games last week! Good thing I don't gamble.
Jacksonville Jaguars 17
Chicago Bears 3
While the Jags start their 2 week stay in England, the Bears remain committed to building a new stadium along the lakefront in Chicago. Of course, they're asking for public money to foot the bill and they're holding Arlington Heights as the relocation boogeyman if Chicago doesn't pay up. The mayor is all for it while the Illinois governor doesn't feel public money should be used to pay for a private stadium. Teams always use the same tired excuses for publicly financing stadiums like it will create jobs and bring money to the cities, but years of studies shows that's bullshit. If it came to a vote like in Kansas City, most people would be rightly against it.
Washington Commanders 20
Baltimore Ravens 31
Yes, Commies QB Jayden Daniels is doing good so far but calm down on the MVP talks for now.
Arizona Cardinals 23
Green Bay Packers 35
Same with the comeback talks for Kyler Murray.
Houston Texans 31
New England Patriots 9
While Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers got arrested for domestic violence, they're starting their rookie QB Drake Maye. What better way to fuck up your young QB's career before it begins than to put him behind a porous offensive line that allowed the previous starter to be sacked 17 times in 5 games? So either Jerod Mayo is trying to save his job after a 1-4 start or Robert Kraft is impatient and want to see his shiny new toy on the field development be damned. And what makes this decision even more idiotic is they're throwing him in there to face the #5 defense in the league! So to the gamblers, what's the over/under for times Maye will get sacked, 5? 8?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24
New Orleans Saints 13
Saints QB Derek Carr is injured so rookie Spencer Rattler will start. I honestly didn't even know he was on the Saints. Hell, I didn't even know he was in the league period! When he was at Oklahoma, he led the 2020-21 FVB Sports FBS Playoffs in passing yards and TDs. He didn't really do much after that when he transferred to South Carolina which would explain why he was selected 150th overall in the 5th round. I guess Jake Haener wasn't good enough to start.
Cleveland Browns 10
Philadelphia Eagles 17
Shitting on Deshaun Watson is fun but don't forget he's been sacked 26 times. O-line is ass.
Indianapolis Colts 33
Tennessee Titans 17
This score shows either Will Levis came back too soon or Mason Rudolph isn't starter material.
Los Angeles Chargers 26
Denver Broncos 16
I don't care what this score says.
Pittsburgh Steelers 30
Las Vegas Raiders 17
This score says Aidan O'Connell isn't better than Gardner Minshew with(out) Davante Adams.
Atlanta Falcons 24
Carolina Panthers 16
This score isn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Detroit Lions 10
Arlington Cowboys 27
Well this is a random thing to come across my news feed. IndyCar is returning to Texas with a street race in Arlington in 2026. The cars will race around AT&T Stadium and Texas Rangers' Globe Life Field with a double sided pit lane between the stadiums. Formula 1 already has a race around the Dolphins' Hard Rock Stadium so this concept isn't new. It's times like this that makes me wish racing games had track creators that used Google Maps so I can make my own.
Cincinnati Bengals 34
New York Giants 20
Buffalo Bills 13
New York Jets 17
The talking heads are feasting over the Jets firing Robert Saleh. Naturally, people are saying Aaron Rodgers got him fired acting like this is the NBA where teams regularly fire coaches if the star player(s) doesn't like him. Of course, A-Rod takes offense to that assumption because again, this aint the NBA where they are so desperate for star power, they gladly can the coach to appease a player who will just leave in a couple years setting that franchise back. Anyways, DC Jeff Ulbrich was named interim coach then he stripped OC Nathaniel Hackett of his play calling duties and awarded it to their passing game coordinator Todd Downing. There'll be so many pieces and graphics on MNF and debates over who's to blame and lack of leadership.
LAST WEEK: 4-10
OVERALL: 43-35
