You only had ONE JOB! All you had to do was beat the breaks off the winless Maulers and keep yourself alive in the South division. Instead, your feckless offense contributed the bare minimal while the defense held the Maulers to multiple field goals before they finally broke through with a game winning touchdown. This is why you're coaching in the USFL instead of college or NFL Kevin Sumlin. If you don't have superstars on your team to bail you out, you're fucked.
THE GAMES
Tampa Bay Bandits 30
Philadelphia Stars 22
The Stars went from dominant to submissive in their game in Birmingham. Maybe I was wrong to choose them for the championship game. But I'm not too sold on the Bandits after that competitive game against the Panthers. Jordan Ta'amu just doesn't seem to have the IT factor like he did in the XFL. Maybe that's why he's here and P.J. Walker is with the Carolina Panthers.
Michigan Panthers 10
Birmingham Stallions 26
The Stallions are like the 2020 Chiefs. They start off slow only to win the game at the end. So far, they been getting away with coming back from halftime deficits but it's gonna catch up to them. For their sake, J'Mar Smith takes control for the whole game instead of just the 2nd half.
Pittsburgh Maulers 17
New Orleans Breakers 24
I won't say the Maulers will get blown out anymore since Vad Lee went from sitting on his couch to winning a football game in a week. But I still won't pick them to win even with Breakers QB Kyle Sloter showing exactly why he tried out for 26 different NFL teams.
Houston Gamblers 12
New Jersey Generals 21
The Gamblers are such a disappointment. They got a good defense but their offense sucks. Which is bad news for them if De'Andre Johnson becomes THE QB for the Generals.
