End Of An Era. NFL Conference Championship Preview

Sean Payton Ben Roethlisberger, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady

It was only a matter of time before the sun sets on our generation of football stars. Ben Roethlisberger retired. Sean Payton stepped down as Saints coach. Tom Brady told the Bucs he haven't decided on his future just yet after people wished him well on the retirement news. While Aaron Rodgers will make his decision sometime in February. It's common to see multiple retirements around this time of year from those eliminated from the playoffs and those who just want to get away. Like Eagles guard Brandon Brooks, Falcons TE Lee Smith, Steelers DC Keith Butler and GM Kevin Colbert. Hell, Rob Gronkowski will probably retire with Brady since he did come out of retirement to join him in Tampa. So it will be sad to see them go but at least we have our memories of them. And if you're a fan of a rival team, you're saying good riddance!

THE GAMES

2021 NFL season Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas City Chiefs
Cincinnati Bungles   17
Kansas City Chiefs   41

As someone who is JUST NOW writing this blog post on the morning of the conference championship games, I know a dumbass when I see one. And let me tell you, Damon Arnette is a fucking dumbass. Here's a guy who got released by the Raiders earlier this season after threating to shoot a troll in his DMs. He got picked up later by the Dolphins only to end up here in KC. All he had to do was keep his nose clean and he could've went from unemployed to Super Bowl champion! But with all the dumb shit he's been doing in his short career, is he even worth signing? I say FUCK NO! Let him play in the rebooted USFL. Also, Brittany Matthews is nuts.

CB Damon Arnette
The NFL couldn't be bothered to change the Dolphins background or Raiders jersey on his profile.

2021 NFL season San Francisco 49ers vs Los Angeles Rams
San Francisco 49ers   31
Los Angeles Rams      34

It's the little team that could vs the team that sent the goat out to pasture. The prediction machine doesn't see the Niners making it a 3-peat against their divisional rival this season but it would be hilarious to see the Rams' chance at winning the Super Bowl at home dashed by the team whose fans they're trying to keep out. Win or lose, I'll say Jimmy G did enough to earn a starting job for next season. Erin Andrews claims the Niners love him but I don't see him staying.

LAST WEEK   2-2
PLAYOFFS     6-4
