Cowboys Have Themselves To Blame For First Round Exit. NFL Divisional Preview

The Cowboys really screwed the pooch didn't they? So many penalties and undisciplined plays. Troy Aikman wanted to call the game but after watching fellow former Cowboys QB Tony Romo call it, he bemoaned them for not utilizing CeeDee Lamb properly. But to cap off this shitshow of a game, Dak ran down the field 17 yards and handed it to his center instead of referee Ramon George costing them the game because they ran out of time. And not only did Dak blame the refs for HIS fuckup, he credited the fans for throwing trash at the refs running off the field! He later got fined $25,000 for his comments and he issued a (likely PR team motivated) "apology". Here's the deal, if the success of your plan rides on a referee, who's a banker in his side hustle, to sprint 30 yards in 5 seconds to touch the ball for the next play, you have a stupid plan. BTW, what's this about Jerry Jones being noncommittal to Mike McCarthy? That QB draw WITH NO TIMEOUTS (!!!) was a egregious fuckup but not worth getting fired over unless he's planning on promoting Kellen Moore to head coach to keep him from getting poached by other teams. Like damn, the Cowboys are bigger screwups than me trying to git gud at affiliate marketing!

THE GAMES

Cincinnati Bungles   17
Tennessee Titans      16

Long suffering Bengals fans were excited that they got their first playoff win in 31 years but Joe Burrow downplayed it because that's "how it's gonna be from here on out". Well, they have to get past the #1 seed Titans who got Derrick Henry back from injury. Both of their offenses and defenses are fairly even so it will come down to who can capitalize off of their big plays? The Bengals slinging the ball or the Titans ground and pound? Go with Cincy to edge one out.

San Francisco 49ers   10
Green Bay Packers      7

After San Fran escaped with a win thanks to Dallas' incompetence, people are expecting this game to be a blowout. The Niners have the #3 defense so they are capable of holding of the Packers who want WR Randall Cobb to close out his career with a "storybook ending". So it will be up to Jimmy G to (once again) play like he should be a starting QB next season instead of a injury prone backup. At least Nick Bosa cleared concussion protocol so he will be a big help.

Los Angeles Rams             6
Tompa Bay Buccaneers   42

I roll my eyes whenever someone says he doesn't fear Tom Brady. Like MY GOD, he's just a guy! Both Nick Foles AND Eli Manning beat him in the Super Bowl and Eli did it TWICE! Sure, you could argue that he's the greatest QB or football player ever but Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr is just a regular guy with a supermodel wife and hawks a lifestyle most people won't bother to stick with. In other news, Rams QB Matthew Stafford downplayed his first playoff win and Bucs coach Bruce Arians was fined $50,000 for slapping safety Andrew Adams' helmet to keep him from getting penalized for pulling players off a pile. That was weird as hell to see but I can understand why they don't want any Bob Knights or Urban Meyers attacking players.

Buffalo Bills               24
Kansas City Chiefs   16

It's a end of an era for the Patriots as the Bills trampled them in the Wildcard round. Bill Belichick gave Josh Allen kudos in their locker room so there's no hard feelings over the blowout loss. Now it's on to KC where they will get RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire back from a shoulder injury and LB Willie Gay Jr from a misdemeanor criminal damage charge for breaking his baby momma's vacuum among other things. Bless the Bills again with your FitzMagic Ryan!
