People were justifiably
pissed last season that the
Dolphins-Chiefs
playoff game was Peacock exclusive. It's not any better that Steelers-Ravens
is on Amazon this season but at least we're used to them since they have
TNF. I really do miss when every playoff game was on regular TV. That was
the main advantage the NFL had over other leagues that put their entire
postseason on cable. Expect those Netflix assholes to get a playoff game
next year. God fucking dammit.
THE GAMES
Los Angeles Chargers 10
Houston Texans 24
I
questioned
who would pick up Zeke after not doing shit in his return to Dallas. Turns
out it was the Chargers who
signed
him...to the
practice squad. They're using his Cowboys
headshot
so they're probably not gonna activate him today considering they already
have 4 RBs. Also, CB Eli Apple
is here. He's one of those guys that I'm always surprised is still in the
league.
Pittsburgh Steelers 6
Baltimore Ravens 34
Looks like Troy Aikman
was right
that the Steelers will be one and done in the playoffs. WOOF.
Denver Broncos 10
Buffalo Bills 0
Despite having Sean Payton as coach, I don't think anyone outside of
Denver expected them in the playoffs with a rookie QB. They have been crap since their last playoff
appearance where Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset as
Super Bowl 50
champion. Granted, it helped that the Chiefs
rested
their starters last week gifting the Broncos an easy win. But they can
prove the doubters wrong if they blank the Bills. So much for Von Miller's
full circle
moment.
Green Bay Packers 20
Philadelphia Eagles 24
Good news, both banged up QBs
Jordan Love
and
Jalen Hurts
are expected to start! Both teams
have a top 5 defense to go with a top 10 offense. The Eagles are
absolutely run heavy as they're 2nd in that stat while 29th in passing.
The Packers love to run the ball too but they're not as terrible at
throwing it. I expect Hurts to hurt them with multiple rushing TDs.
Washington Commanders 24
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30
The Commies are another team that sucked for a while but with a change in
leadership finds themselves in the playoffs. Is their new coach and QB the
real deal? Who knows. But they're gonna enjoy this Rookie of the Year type
performance Jayden Daniels put up this season. With that said, the
experience of Baker Mayfield and other veterans should propel the Bucs to
victory.
Minnesota Vikings 19
Arizona Rams 3
Due to the L.A. wildfires, this game was
moved
to Glendale. If I was a Rams fan, I would be mad that this game was
relocated to a division rival's stadium even though this is the 5th time
the NFL moved a game to Arizona and the 4th time to State Farm Stadium.
Sure, it's unlikely Cardinals fans would spend $162-$20,000 on tickets
just to fuck with the Rams by making it sound like a road game during
their time on offense. But there are bound to be some Cardinal jerseys in
the crowd Monday night. In other news, Rams WR Demarcus Robinson
was charged
with a DUI while the Vikings
signed
former Giants QB Daniel Jones to the active roster.
LAST WEEK: 11-5
OVERALL: 166-106
